Oh yeah, we rode too

Steve's Loop, bitches! Best trail of the week, though Sovereign, Gemini Bridges, Monitor & Merrimac, Kane Creek-Jackson Hole-Amasa Back, Highline Lake Loop, Mary's-Horsetheif-Steve's-Lion's (x2), and Hurrah Pass were pretty sweet too. Maybe 20hrs of quality mountain biking for Highroller and Chainsaw. Got lost a couple times, of course, hauled ass up the baddest portage in town (up to Amasa Back from Jackson Hole), only crashed a couple times, no (NO) mechanicals...what? Sweet!

Fiesta Guadalajara Cabrones!

Tacos al Carbon

Bam! Carne Asada, Pollo Burrito y chile relleno

Ole, Mole!

What the shim sham?  The Velvet Hammer, doing what he does best (eat!), with Highroller, Chainsaw and Trout at Fiesta Guadalajara?  It's almost like a real bIKE cLUB April excursion to Fruita, complete with genuine FARVA quotes:

Highroller "What DOES Sue do anyways?"
Chainsaw "I don't know actually.  I tried talking to her about it one time but..."
Highroller "Sue is like the wind.  You don't talk to leaves, you can't talk to the wind, you just enjoy it... like a force of nature. Don't try to understand."

Trout "I love YOU most of all Momma!"
Highroller What about Poppa, do you love Poppa most of all too?"
Trout "No"
Highroller "How much do you love Poppa? This much (holds hands arms length apart)?"
Trout  "This much (fingers about 1" apart).

Highroller (wrestling with some kids). "Hey Finn, did you drop this dollar here?"
Finn "What? (coming closer)
Highroller "Is this your dollar?
Finn "What dollar?
Highroller "Ha gotcha you sucker! (Wrestles Finn into upside down sleeper hold)
Finn, later "Where's the dollar?"
Finn's Mom "There is no dollar honey"

Owen (kid) "Swing ME around now!
Highroller "Is there another word coming after that like..."
Trout "Please?"
Owen "Do it stinky donkey-butt!"

Trout (all day yesterday) "Cha cha cha...hi-ya! (followed by karate kick to Highroller's shins, if shins covered followed by punch to groin instead)

bIKE cLUB 2.0 Training/Survival Field Trip, Day One

Operative "Trout" planning evasive maneuvers should primary Moab routes be overrun.  Note plenty of cold "beery-water" on hand for constant rehydration.  Trout's finger is approximately 22 miles from actual location (so well within standard bIKE cLUB Navigational deviation)

If you don't remove the holder, no baby seals can get it stuck around their neck

"Is it the frank or the beans, son?"

S'mores 332 in session...prereq S'Mores 101, Campfire Basics 101, 102 and 201, S'mores 221 Advanced Thermodynamics, S'Mores 331 Differential Analyisis in Toasting

Just a quick spin down the coast

Not sure any Tickler rides could be scheduled here but I'm sure someone could figure something "enjoyable" here.

Freeze dried on Tickler 5

Sole moment of warmth during the 5 hours of Tickler 5, Gold Hill Merc. Yes, I'll take a latte and a piece of quiche please. Real men do eat quiche!

Was there snow? Of course not we would never make that mistake agai...oh. Yeah ok there was snow, making Aspen Tr about half unrideable. It was here that our fingers froze solid, not to return until after about 15 minutes was spent in front of the wood stove at Gold Hill

Sunny and beautiful all day but that menacing front sitting there on the Divide was blasting us in the face, In Your Face!, for the entire climb (3 hours). Freezing!

Almost ground to a standstill on Gold Hill Rd with jet stream right in the kisser before we could finally turn for home. Legs=worked

Thanks for leading the charge Dash! Consider yourself hardened up right proper, as if there was any doubt.

Can you say "Tickler 6!"

Tickler 5 = 30 miles...cake!

Tickler 4

4th times the charm, we can definitely finish this bad boy off!

Is it just me or am I hot?

No seriously, it's like 90 degrees, on Magnolia.  We're dyin' out here.  Eventually hit the Ned grocery store for Gatorade before crawling out Peak to Peak to S. Switzerland Trail but the damage was done

Dropping onto S. Switzerland not far above Sunset, cramping, salt stained and done. I recall something like 40 miles for this section.  I think this was day after we returned from Montana trip early because Chainsaw got sick during a 24 hr race in Spokane.  Highroller drove about 12 hrs straight to get back home, finally had to pass out in back of the truck for a few hours on Rabbit Ears before making the final push...

Highroller's Tickler 3

Tickler 3 for Highroller, I don't know what all the complaining was about...

Stellar!
