Now that I'm a meat-eater, I'm allowed to find humor in this.

What do you get the girl who has everything?

Besides a Mint Oreo ice cream cake I mean...Happy Birthday to my beautiful bride, and probably the coolest Mom evah!  Chainsaw is now ready to rip it (and herself) up in entirely new ways.  Thanks to Jen for the killer shoes too!!  Can't skate in lame sneaks, yo!

Thanks Gurst!

Another great CB 4th 'o July thanks to Scott and a host of volunteers.  If you haven't hit up this trip for a few years it's worth reconsidering for next year, great food, pool, condos, party(s), poker night, karaoke, watching the TdF (and World Cup this year) and of course as much CB singletrack as you can shake a stick at, and usually a touch more.  Chainsaw got out on the infamous Dr. Park and an Upper, Upper Upper, Strand ride while Highroller rolled high, high above Washington Gulch to Paradise Divide and eventually 4-0-1 and even the wee Trout managed a spin or three (in between the fireworks, parade, horse ride, face-painting and swimming).  Was there bloodshed? Hell yes, ask Chainsaw.  Were there hours of granny up the faces of unbelievable mountains, of course.  Were plans laid for impossible loops and connectors, explore-Os, you betcha!  Good times, good times!

Anyone need veggies?

Anyone need veggies?

Ride 12

Up, up and away on Washington Gulch - Paradise Divide - 401 sampling much of the up Crested Butte has to offer over 30 miles and 3700' of climbing in La Granny.  Actually I felt ok and managed to throw down some patented Highroller "where does he get the energy and why wasn't he moving any faster earlier today when we were all waiting for him" devastating sprint attacks on the last bit out Gothic Rd. Take THAT guy I've let set the pace for the last 27 miles!
I realize I am increasingly speaking only to myself in this forum, hey there handsome devil, but I don't mind.  None the less for forms sake, what did YOU get up to over the glorious 4th 'o July week-end?
