Intro to the West

Broke in the Wisco kids with a Flatirons hike and then off to Mamacitas for Mole! Posted by Picasa
Saturday the weather held off long enough for us to get up to RMNP and show Dee what big mountain ranges look like. She was a little surprised and bummed that it was cold. I said we were lucky it wasn't raining or snowing on us... Posted by Picasa
But good ole Colorado weather came through and it snowed on us as we were heading out of the park. Posted by Picasa
After dancing with Hippies in Ned with Rose, MOA, Steph and Dave, we thought it best to go to Denver for some culture. Posted by Picasa

I've only seen bunnies and bears lately. The bunnies at Dinosaur National Monument apparently had Tularemia.

I saw the bear on the Annie U. White trail Monday night - no pics.

Congrats, Rose. I didn't think that you were training here at first - apparently every little bit helps!

P.S. Click on the photo for long-lost Partypalooza pics and relive the foolishness.

Chainsaw, Erin (eventual 2nd place) and Bobbi warming up to the whole concept after a brutal 5am wakeup, and even more brutal hotel breakfast. Beaver Creek Ultra 100 here we come!!

Chainsaw rev'd up on coffee and practically almost ready for the 6am start. Yes, it was pitch dark out...

And they're off!

Coming in HOT as Chainsaw nips into 3rd place literally within sight of the finish line after 100 miles of racing! Now that's close!

Chainsaw squeezes in a good 10 minutes under Highroller's Ultra time...1st place in her age group, 3rd overall woman, $250 richer!

Make that check out to A-L-F-O-R-D!
