Pack 'o Alfords took on the dreaded Sanitas time trial Sunday morning, my first time up Sanitas since the last TT, won by the Albino Sasquatch in about 30:30 if I recall correctly. Well we just missed nipping that record (by about half an hour) with TSA along for the ride but had a sweet hike all the same. Killer day and lotsa memories on the trail. Man, how many days have we run, hiked or bouldered on Sanitas over the years?
Chainsaw will not be denied on the climb, and thus will likely be crippled today. Nice work Mom! Trout and pack add about 30-35lbs...

ReplyDeleteDeb "Highlander" Ramirez started things off with a strong 29:55 just being nudged at the line by power-hiking Morganna Curtis at 29:45. Rose "Rose" Everest pulled a steaming 26:30 to nip at the heels of MOA, who despite chopping 1:30 off the previous record to stop the watch at 24:30, was relegated to also ran by glutinous Sean "Furious" Steeves, setting the new Sanitas Time Trial record of 23:00! Sean had this to say about his record-setting effort, "Gaack ptooey!"
