A boat load of snow

One last look back at beautiful Steamboat, leaving just as another storm was going to hit. :(
There was awesome powder and old friends! Little Trout is not so little anymore!

    Guess what it's doing now? Dumping! Nice to see Loni and Cheese-O sporting big smiles from the great skiing. Did you guys get up to Buffalo Pass?

    I did get up to Buff Pass, courtesy of one fast-ass powder sled. However, the first run of thigh-deep pow (motto: "ski good or eat wood!") was followed by multiple cat-dodging, sled turning, sled-pushing and attempted sled-starting escapades... Needless to say, I could have skinned back up for another run in that time. Once our party (10 or so) decided to go to another area, the skiing/riding mix improved considerably. In short, you don't leave all your troubles behind with a sled and its attendant noise and stench, but the skiing can be (and was) phenomenal! Plus, I learned how to ride "rodeo."
