Have you heard about "The 50/50 Race"
This race is one of the first of its kind, pitting mountain bike skills against road bike fitness. Guarenteed to wipe you out, the 50/50 will finally answer the question of who would win, a shaved leg roadie or a baggy wearin mountain biker. The mountain bike course is super technical and the road course is world class.
Starting off at Tabiguache trailhead and sending riders through some of the best single track in the Grand Valley, the race will consist of hard climbs followed by fast, technical descents. Then comes the transiton to 50miles of road biking, climbing the hardest road climbs in the Valley with 12 miles of acending with grades upwards of 15%, then a descent that will burn your brake pads and your nerves to the finish where beer and barbeque and live music will await.
