Start Line - Elk Mountains Grand Traverse
Dash, looking unusually chipper for a midnight start in sub-freezing temperatures.
Heading to Star Pass
Daybreak, heading up to Star Pass. We made the 8:00 AM cutoff by the skin of our teeth and were rewarded with 10 inches of fresh powder on the descent - the high point of the whole race.
2007 EMGT - Finished!
Nearly 18 hours of pain later - mercifully we were prevented from skiing down the Aspen ice...
