Classic Sean

Sean emailed this to me yesterday. I been reviewing my lines all day!
"There is a good chance we don't actually do any skiing. We'll head out and dig a pit and make the call then. If we can't ski, I was thinking of doing a reinactment of the first Star Wars film. I'll be Han Solo and Matty will be Luke Skywalker. Dash will be Chewbacca. Pete gets to be Darth Vader. I imagine all you ladies will be vying for the Princess Leia role, so if you want it, practice this line "Aren't you a little short to be a Stormtrooper?" Otherwise, you'll be C3PO. If it turns out that you are the shortest person there, you'll be R2D2."

Hey!

Chainsaw & the Fish head out for a snowy hike

It's wee frosty here in the 'Boat but that is a way better state to be in in January than raining like it was over the weekend...what the? Snow is about knee to thigh high in town and we've had to dig out a couple windows on the north face, er I mean north 'side' of the house. We of course have started planning for warmer times and will throw this rough plan out into the sphere...Spring MTB Fling in Vernal, UT, then we're going back to our roots and going to try out some of the Mountain States Cup XC races (Snowmass, Sol Vista, Angel Fire?, Eldora, Rabbit Valley) and would love to have some other old geezers along, then a summer bacchanalia camp out/Partyapalooza at Vedeawoo, WY (maybe before or during Laramie Enduro)... Just saying you could drag out the trainer like I'm doing, order your Moots and sharpen your punji stakes 'cuz this snow won't last forever. Rain in January!

The MOMA called me last week. Apparently, my new piece has garnished some critical acclaim in the art world. The piece is entitled “Get my ASS into the SSWC09” and is for sale on Ebay. Starting bid is $1M. Has anyone else entered the race??

First BC Turns of '09

"It sure is nice to look up and just see your tracks," Sean commented as we looked up at his 4 turns above the East Portal. Too bad he doesn't alpine cuz he could've doubled that number. It took Dash, Sean and I about 3 hours to hike up and only a fraction of that to get down. Maybe next time we can coax a few less hairy participants to join us to pretty the place up a bit. Hut trip is just around the corner!

Happy New Years all!

And best wishes for a very bIKE cLUB 2009! Just as our ranks seemed to be thinning they start thickening right up again! Nice work on the impregnating Dash! You and I know who does the heavy lifting around here ;). Or as I like to say "aron hee-are"
ps. That's Highroller's childhood bunny "Cement Butt" above, ready to celebrate the New Year with round 2 on the CarBombs

Wisconsin

Our gracious Wisconsin hosts, the Fraundorfs, showed us some true WI-style Xmasing!

Merry Christmas deer, take that!

Ok, tired of that walking? Yeah, walking is for suckers...let's ride!

Wisconsin Xmas in the 100 acre woods. First we sled!

Then we really sled!

The family cow, named for sentimental reason, "Cow". The exact sentiment being 'don't get too attached, that cow is going in the basement freezer come spring'

Uh oh!
